Tennis is an amazing sport. A sport you can start at any age and can play at any age. There are multiple benefits of playing tennis ranging from physical aspects to mental aspects. It also develops a player’s personality. It is a very healthy sport which will ultimately make your child strong physically and mentally. Whether your kid has played tennis before or he is holding the racket for the first time, tennis has the power to involve the player in the game immediately and your kid will start loving the game. It will not be a surprise that once your child starts to enjoy tennis, 20 years from now your child might still be playing tennis and hopefully become a well ranked player.

  1. Few ways by which you can introduce tennis to your kid are:

    Tell them the benefits of tennis

    One of the obvious benefits of sports is they keep you fit and tennis is an extremely physical game, making you stronger in every aspect. It keeps you healthy & fit and makes you stronger. You know the benefits of tennis, tell them to your little ones. This will make their mind that tennis is a good game for them and they will remain healthy and become stronger.

     

    Be a good and gentle coach

    You can make your child fall in love of tennis by becoming their first coach. Be a gentle and nice teacher who teaches the benefits of tennis.  It is you who can develop interest in the game because kids want to be just like their parents. They will follow you whatever you do. So, in the beginning, start gently with your kid. Make them watch how you play and how you enjoy the game. Bring a small racket for them and have a little go with softer balls and allow them to whack the ball. Play at their level and appreciate them to make them happy about tennis.

    It is fun & Social

    Tennis is a great game to make friends and at the same time is a very fun game. It is all about whacking the ball hard and just to enjoy the time you are on the court. This will only make them think to learn the right way to hit the ball. There are also group lessons and other kids on the court which will allow you child be indulge in the group. He will make friends and have fun with them on the court. Making friends will also keep your child to push to the court each day because he knows he will spend a good time there. As it is said that environment is very important to do anything and providing a good environment to your child is crucial in developing interest of tennis in them.

     

    Enroll them in a Summer Camp

    There are lots of summer camps across all the seasons. These summer camps include lessons of different age groups. Find a good program to enroll your kid. A summer camp is a good option to teach your kid the basics of tennis. In a summer camp, he will not only learn the right way of hitting the ball but will also make friends. There are also programs which starts after school so this way their studies won’t miss out. A summer camp is a good option to develop athletic, physical and new friendships for your child.
